The theatre had nine boxes: at one time one belonged to the Inquisition’s prosecutor and another to the cathedral canons.

Why it has this name
The playhouse’s upper floor held the City’s box and nine boxes for leading families, each about three metres long, with its own door onto a shared corridor and a numbered key. This upper-floor apartment takes that name.

If you come by car
The Jewish Quarter is a restricted pedestrian zone of narrow streets, so it is best to park first and walk in. To drop off luggage, there is a loading bay in Plaza Agrupación de Cofradías, Monday to Friday from 7:00 to 11:00.
