Why it has this name
“Totus mundus agit histrionem”: all the world plays a part. The motto is associated with the Globe in London, which opened in 1599. That year belongs to this house too: in 1599 Córdoba’s city council took up in earnest the idea of building a theatre for the city, the one that would rise here three years later.
